Tala, which is the very small town located at the entrance to the park, is quite decently equipped with most provisions being available there. The resorts also keep a good stock of all requirements and the lucky visitors to Bandhavgarh do not really have to worry about carrying anything but specific personal requirements. Although it does take away a lot from the jungle experience, the non-availability of accommodation facilities within the park means that any requirement is only a short walk or short drive away.

It would however be advisable as always to carry any specific medicine you might be taking for recurring ailments.

Bandhavgarh has a healthy bird population and it is a must for enthusiasts to carry along a pair of binoculars. Photography buffs must carry all the spare batteries and film that they might require. Lithium batteries may not be available and film may be of an old stock. Believe me, you don't want to take a chance with the kind of photo opportunities you're going to get here!

Getting reliable bottled water is not a problem. All the resorts are well stocked and it is easily available at even the small shops. Please however ensure that you check the bottle seal before buying one.

During winters, go well prepared with a warm jacket and if possible a pair of light woolen gloves. The winds during the early morning rides can get extremely chilly. For summer, extremely light clothes and sun shades. For those with sensitive skin, a sun screen lotion is advisable too.
