There are three means of transportation that can be utilized for moving around inside the park. The first of the lot is an open van run by the park authorities. This van carries it's own guide who is quite experienced in spotting and identifying wildlife. The second means available are jeep rides that can be booked. It is preferable to choose petrol engine vehicles as they are a lot more silent than the diesel ones. Although the animals seem to have gotten accustomed to all types of vehicles now. Yet it is advisable to be alert for solitary elephants, who tend to be more aggressive and charges by them are not a very uncommon phenomenon. However, if you are in one of the park vehicles, it is not something to worry too much about as the experienced drivers have been through many such incidents and know how to deal with them. The third, and probably the most enjoyable, way of moving around the park is on elephant back. There is no noise and it is possible to venture into the thick of the jungle where vehicles cannot go. It is also one of the best ways for bird lovers as there are no sudden movements and jarring sounds to scare of the winged wonders of the park.

All these rides move into the park twice a day. Once early in the morning and then towards late afternoon or early evening. Human movement in the park, except in the forest rest houses' premises, is not allowed after dark.
