It must be remembered that a wildlife park is the opposite of a zoo, where we are caged and the animals roam free. Due to this it is possible to come across almost any animal or bird almost anywhere in the park. However, due to factors such as terrain, territorial habits, prey density, etc., the people more familiar with the area can make a good judgement of the areas in which certain species are more likely to be found. The following list should be taken as a helpful tips' bank and not as a sure-shot solution to the location of the species you're looking for.

Tigers: Tiger Sansar, Pivarthadi (towards Maharashtra), Raiyakassa (machaan).

Leopards: Kala Pahad, Pivarthadi, Chhindimatta Road, Sita Ghat, Bodha Nala, Alikatta, Doob Road.

Bison: Raiyakassa, Bhudodat Nala, Around Karmajhiri, Bans Nala.

Wild Dogs: Alikatta, Chhindimatta, Bodha Nala, Tikadi

Pench is one of the best birding parks in the country

Jackals and deers can be found throughout the park
Langurs and Macaques: Throughout the park

Deer: Deer species can be found in large numbers in almost any part of the park.

Jackal: Alikatta, Chhindimatta and almost every part of the park.

Birds: Aquatic - Chhindimatta, Bodha Nala, Alikatta, Sita Ghat. Others - throughout the park
If you are more interested in seeing a specific animal, it is advisable to inform your guide of the same at the outset of the safari ride. If your main interest in Tigers, a special mention need not really be made as that is the first thing the guide too is hoping to show you :-) If you are a birding enthusiast, you must make it a point to let your guide and driver know this, as such visitors are not very frequent. If you don't, you may end up enduring a trip with your guide only hunting every bush for signs of a tiger and your driver scaring off every bird from it's perch before you get anywhere close to it. If you're on a safari with trained naturalists such as those at Bagh Van, you needn't do any of this. Just sit back and enjoy the sightings.
