getting to Bandipur National Park

Getting to and from Bandipur is not too much of a problem because of it's location on the main wonderful highway connecting Mysore and Ooty. There are regular buses and easily available taxis from all the neighbouring large towns, mainly Mysore. It is a 2 - 3 hour journey by road from Mysore, depending on the mode of transportation you choose. Mysore is well connected with the rest of the country by surface and air transport. It is advisable to time your arrival at the park before lunch to make full use of an extra day and also avoid being stopped short of your destination, as part of the road is closed during the night.
