For
those interested in photography, take along as many film
rolls as you can because the number of photo opportunities
this park offers is enumerable. Remember to arrange the
film before hand as you just might have to make the long
trip to Umaria if you do not do so. For cameras that use
lithium batteries instead of 'aa', it is advisable to go
with spares as the availability of these even at Umaria
is never a sure thing.

Never
go to Bandhavgarh without lots of film-more than you'd expect
to use

Photographic
opportunities knock at your door around every corner in Bandhavgarh

While
you are there, take this opportunity to see the neighbouring villages,
which seem to have lost their connection to the present world and
are amazing scenes of how to live in harmony with nature. The constitution
of the building material used to construct the mud huts is also
very different from that seen anywhere else in the country. Specially
in it's colour. In most villages elsewhere in India, the colour
is a more ocher or orangish in hue, whereas here it more like a
dark chololate brown. The villagers, if spoken to nicely, are quite
hospitable and a simple "namaskar" gets many high voltage
smiles going.
