Topography Gir National Park consists mainly of undulating hills interspersed by many water bodies like rivers, streams, lakes and small reservoirs. The vegetation across the entire park is of a mixed deciduous type with trees like Teak, Ber, Flame of the forest, Acacia, Jamun, Tendu, Semul and some Banyan making up a majority of the forest cover. There are also vast open areas, which stretch out the range of vision to a large extent. |
