It must be kept in mind when visiting the Hemis High Altitude Park that due to the lack of proper infrastructure being prevalent, it is necessary to make all required preparation regarding food and water etc. If you are saying overnight within the park, all the various rations must be carried with you. If you are making only day visits from Leh, it is sufficient to carry a small packed meal. Leh itself has many restaurants catering to a large variety of tastes and cuisines. There are also a large variety of restaurants with many to suit all kinds of budgets.
