Neighbourhood Trips
The Hemis High Altitude Park and Leh are surrounded by areas of amazingly beautiful landscapes. These areas can be visited in your own vehicle or in those hired from Leh or Manali. There are many tours covering the more popular areas like "Moonland" which are organized and conducted by local tour operators. There are also many other trips that can be booked at Leh like a rafting expedition on the river Zanskar. Treks to many other neighbouring areas are also very popular, including some which take you across many of the large glaciers in the region.
