Getting There

Kaziranga National Park can be approached from either side via national highway 37. This highway leads to Guwahati in the west and to Jorhat in the east. It is well connected by buses and taxis from both these towns. Jorhat, being the closest big town to the park, is well connected with the rest of the country via air and rail transport. There is also the possibility of utilizing some of the local operators' tours and transportation facilities, although it is advisable to ask around a bit before deciding on one.
