Accommodation Facilities at Manas

If you are planning a trip to Manas, it is advisable to make bookings well in advance as there are very limited accommodation facilities available.

The only accommodation facilities available inside the park are two bungalows at Mathanguri. These bungalows offer an excellent experience of the surrounding jungle, as long as you go well prepared. There are no arrangements here for catering and all rations should be carried in with you. If required the local bungalow caretaker also substitutes as a pretty decent cook and all the rations can be handed over to him on arrival.

Other than the bungalows at Mathanguri inside the park, tourist lodges are available at Barpeta Road and Bansbari. Food is not a problem here and they are located an hour's drive from the park. The facilities offered are pretty basic and the charges are quite economical.
