While you are visiting Pench, there are a host of other activities that could be of interest. There is an excellent walk for the truly enthusiastic from Raiyakassa to the Karmajhiri Forest Rest House. This nature walk takes you through some exciting jungle and is an absolute must specially for birders. The total length of the walk is approximately 12 km, so make sure you go armed with some water and atleast a packet of biscuits. Please do not leave any wrappers or packets behind.

Walking in the jungle is an experience worth trying

Spend some fascinating time watching the life of the neighbouring village folk

Spending time at some of the quaint neighbouring villages is sure to make you feel you've entered a time machine and gone back an era or two. It is fascinating to watch their ways of working, the games their children play, their amazing craft, their temples, their farming and if you pass them a friendly smile - their excellent hospitality. Some of the places you can visit are Mansar - Ramtek (temple), Pachhdhar (potters' village 16 km from Bagwan) and Gaund Village - an interesting 30 minute walk.

Their is also some excellent cane craftwork that can be seen and purchased in the neighbourhood. A trip to Rukhad can also be considered. This is the entrance to the neighbouring Mowgli Wildlife Sanctuary and provides an interesting variety, to spice up a longer stay, with more jungle tracks to explore.
