Pench National park contains a huge variety of animals, birds and reptiles within it. Primarlily the population consists of...

Animals: Tigers, Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Indian Wild Dogs, Wolf, Indian Bison or Gaur, Sambar deer, Chital, Nilgai, Barking Deer, Common or Hanuman langurs, Macaques, Jackals, Fox, Jungle cats, Sloth bears, Indian Wild Boar, Chinkara, Chausingha (four horned antelope), Common Palm Civets or Toddy cat, Common Mongoose, Porcupines. Due to it's topography and excellent range of visibility even in the densest parts of the forest, most visits into the park result in happy faces for the visitors by the time they leave :-)

The park also has a large variety of butterflies and moths


Besides these predominant animal species, there are also 50 species of fish, 9 species of amphibians, 30 species of reptiles, 45 species of butterflies and 54 species of moths, who live amongst numerous species of insects. The amphibian species only consist of the Common India Toad and the Common Frog.

Pench National Park is also one of the richest reserves in bird species.
