are three options available regarding accommodation in the park. The first
are the Forest Lodges, the second are the Tourism Launches and the third
are the surrounding hotels and resorts outside the park.
The forest lodges are located at Sajnakhali, Bakkhali and Piyali. These lodges being located inside the jungle give you a true feeling of the surrounding, especially at night. However, their condition is not very good, mainly due to the damage caused because of the harshness of the local saline water.
The luxury launch, Chitrarekha, is an excellent option as it offers a combined package of exploring as well as accommodation. The facilities offered are quite adequate and the service respectable. The only negative point being that at times you might have to share it with people not on the same wavelengths as you. These launches mostly offer two days and one night trips, the charges of which vary according to the facilities requested.
