Day 01
Delhi-Kathmandu Fly Delhi-Kathmandu in the morning and arrive Kathmandu in the afternoon. Rest of the day free for exploring the area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02 Kathmandu After breakfast, visit Swayambhunath stupa followed by tour of Kathmandu city. Visit Durbar square, Basantpur square, Kumari temple etc. Afternoon guided tour of Patan city. Visit the king's old palace, hindu temples and Buddhist golden temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03 Kathmandu Morning guided tour of Pashupatinath temple, Boudhnath stupa and Bhaktapur city. Rest of the day free. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 Kathmandu-Pokhra Drive to Pokhra 'the valley of lakes' stopping enroute for river rafting (optional). Pokhra valley is scenic and exciting. It is covered by green hills, lakes, forests, rivers, water falls & terraced gardens. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 Pokhra An hour's boat ride on Lake Phewa. Guided tour of Pokhra. Overnight at the hotel

Day 06 Pokhra-Chitwan National Park Early morning drive to Chitwan National Park. Check-in at the lodge. Afternoon elephant safari at Royal Chitwan Park for nature watch. Overnight at a wildlife resort.

Day 07 Chitwan National Park Early morning park visit on an elephant / jeep. In the afternoon, set out for bird watching in the canoes. In the evening, a stick dance of the local people shall be organised (optional). Overnight at a wildlife resort.

Day 08 Chitwan National Park-Kathmandu-Nagarkot Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to the Nagarkot. One can have a panoramic view of Himalayan ranges from east to west. Best for sunset. Overnight at Nagarkot.

Day 09 Nagarkot-Kathmandu After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 10 Kathmandu-Paro Fly to Paro by Druk Air. Transfer to the hotel. Time free to visit the monasteries or go birding at Paro chu. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 11 Paro-Thimphu Morning birding tour along the river Paro chu. After breakfast, Visit Drukgyel Dzong ruins (Monastery Fortress); the Natural History Museum at Ta Dzong; the Taktsang Retreat (the Tiger's nest) & the 7th century Kyichu temple. Afternoon drive to the capital city of Thimpu stopping en route to look for Ibisbill. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 12 Thimpu-Phobjhika Leave very early in the morning for Phobjhika (6 hr.) stopping enroute for an hour at Dochula for birding. After lunch visit the Gangtey Gompa (monastery). Evening birding in Phobjhika valley. Overnight stay in a guest house.

Day 13 Phobjhika-Punakha Early morning walk to the bogs to see the black-necked cranes. Return to the guest house for breakfast. Drive to Punakha. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 Punakha Guided tour of Punakha and a short walk along River Mo Chu. Overnight stay at the hotel at Punakha.

Day 15 Punakha-Thimpu Early morning birding at Punakha. Drive to Thimpu (3 ½ hr.). Afternoon guided tour of Thimpu. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 16 Thimpu-Paro Morning visit to the zoo to see Takin and for birding. Drive to Paro (3 hr.). Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

Day 17 Paro-Delhi / Calcutta / Dhaka / Bangkok Connect flight to onward destination.
